Eligibility
- Students must be 3 years of age on or before December 2 of the year they attend school. The Preschool is licensed for children 2 years, 9 months through 5 years of age. Children who turn three years of age after December 2nd may enroll on or after their third birthday. There is usually a waiting list for enrollment for new students.
- Children may be enrolled at Sutterville Preschool for a maximum of 2 (two) years, effective Fall 2010.
- Students must be fully “toilet trained” upon admittance to Sutterville Preschool.
The phrase “toilet trained” is intended to mean that the child is able to attend to his or her own bathroom needs without adult assistance (other than occasional help with buttons, zippers, etc.). Having a child wear “Pull-Ups” or disposable underwear of any kind during the school day is highly discouraged. - Students must remit a signed statement from a physician stating that the child is up to date on their immunizations.
- Our school year is from the beginning of September to the beginning of June. We follow the same holiday calendar as Sacramento City Unified School District.
- The Membership includes a total of 50 families who participate and assist in the Preschool program one full morning OR afternoon each week on an assigned day. In addition, approximately 30 families send their children two or three days per week, but do not participate in the daily school program.

To all applicants for the 2009/2010 school year:
As of May 1st our classes for next year are full. If you have not been
contacted about admission for the 2009-2010 school year, your application
has been placed onto our wait list. All applications are filed in order of
submission date. We do encourage all families that have not been contacted
to look at other preschools as there is no way to know how many applicants
from the wait list will be contacted. Due to the large number of
applicants, we regret that we are not able to contact each family
individually. Please feel free to contact our membership chair Jen DeMello
via email with any questions: Jen_DeMello@msn.com.
